Most of people spending their time sitting at the desk or on the sofa but not walking or jumping. The suggestion for starters, you should get up from your chair, sofa, car. According to a recent study in Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, sitting too long can raise your risk of mortality, regardless of factors such as body mass index, smoking and fitness level. So even if you are active, limiting the amount of time spent channel surfing on the couch or if you are at the desk all day. Try these desk exercises:

Your Legs deserve attention
The exercise: While sitting in your chair, extend one leg straight out and hold for 10 seconds activating your quadriceps muscles. For a greater challenge, raise the entire leg a few inches higher. Repeat on other side. Do 5 total sets.
