Scientists from the University of Brazil in Sao Paulo came to the conclusion that could increase the risk of early pregnancy termination. «We strongly recommend that women who live in areas with high air pollution, choosing a clean place for the conception of the child, — said Dr. Paulo Marcelo Perin. — Even a small amount of harmful emissions into the air can fatally affect your pregnancy.»
Dr. Perrin pointed out that the main supplier of pollutants are emissions from diesel engines. The study examined 1,200 women. Only in the UK every ten pregnancies ends in miscarriage. In megapolis areas with high level air pollution, such as London, Tokyo, Beijing and Sao Paulo, the figure is even higher.

Another study confirmed that air pollution also reduce women's chances of success of the procedure of in vitro fertilization. Such conclusion was made by experts from Penn State College of Medicine in Pennsylvania.
